Willaston and Rope Ward Councillor Brian Silvester has praised local residents for turning out in force to protest about two proposed housing developments in the village. He said, “I spoke to the residents and answered questions for over an hour.Local people are really angry. Over 200 houses have already been passed in the village in the last year and now a further 300 are in the pipeline. They are saying enough is enough. It is time to put a stop to it. Most people went away from the meeting pledging to wriote in to object. They want to put an end to all this development before the village is destroyed. Details of the two applications are below. I am grateful to Willaston School and the Headteacher for hosting the meeting.”
